Tobagonians can access COVID-19 Social Support services

The Division hereby informs that Tobagonians who have been retrenched, terminated or experienced a reduction in income as a result of the COVID-19 virus, can access the COVID-19 Social support services being offered by the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services. These include income, food and rental support.

To access these support services, persons must fulfil all criteria. The criteria, guidelines and application forms are available online at:

If applicants cannot complete the form or do not have email access, persons can call the Tobago COVID-19 Social Support Hotline at 487-7412 / 498-1967.

If the only problem is no access to an email, applicants are advised to explore the following options before calling the hotline:

  • Seek assistance from a friend or family member to print the required forms. Once the forms have been completed, cell phone cameras or scanners can be used to email the documents as required.
  • Seek assistance from a friend or family member to establish your own email address. The process is simple and can be done through a number of providers such as hotmail, gmail, or yahoo. Alternatively, ask a friend or family member to use his / her email address but ensure to put the applicant’s information in the subject of the email as stated in the guidelines.
  • If all of the aforementioned fails, the offices of the Members of Parliament, Assemblymen and the Division of Health Wellness and Family Development can assist by appointment only.
